Sasama Consulting was established on 1 September 2012 by Dr Shelley Clarke
as an independent sole proprietorship company specializing in marine fisheries
science and management. Based in Japan, but working throughout the world,
Sasama Consulting provides personalized service for individual clients as well
as technical expertise as part of large, multi-national projects.
From June 2014 through August 2019, Dr Clarke was on hiatus from Sasama Consulting to serve as Technical Coordinator – Sharks and Bycatch under the UN FAO’s Common Oceans (ABNJ) Tuna Project. As of 1 September 2019 she has returned to Sasama Consulting to focus on two key areas of work: Sharks, Bycatch and Fisheries Management (brief CV here: LINK) and IUU Fishing and Traceability (brief CV here: LINK).
